I noticed my bill was rather high, and I saw easy roam charges on my bill, instantly I remembered that have been camping alot in the last month all over vancouver island, and would get notified welcome to USA, and I'd laugh and say I think my phones confused. I was so sure with how amazing all our technology and GPS that how could our phone not realize it's mistake. In the past because it's a nightmare to contact an actually human being, this time because ever road leads to here, I don't like it, why should I have to post to a koodo community page to have an employee contact me look into my issue. So please kindly, I am having a really hard time and can't afford an extra $50 charge on top of my already high bill!

We have reviewed the details and we have been able to remove the roaming charges since they were triggered due to accidental data roaming, feel free to check the details in your self serve account when you get the chance.

We recommend switching data roaming off and also switch to manual network and select Koodo, this would prevent the connection to a US tower when near the border.

With a Canada-US plan, there will be no fees for when the phone picks a US tower while near the border,. On top of that, you can use your phone without additional charges in US (some exceptions apply).
