Hello, I live in a remote area of Vancouver Island and have not left Canada, but have incurred roaming charges on my bill. Please credit forward to next month. Alternatively, consider providing me with an international plan that won’t cause these charges, otherwise I may need to switch providers. This is a repeated occurrence which happens every month.

I also have a “pick your perk” option on my account which allows “unlimited international sms”, and I believe I incurred an incorrect charge on an international call, as well. Please let me know if you can resolve this.

We have reviewed the details and we have been able to remove the roaming charges since they were triggered due to accidental data roaming, feel free to check the details in your self serve account when you get the chance.

We recommend switching data roaming off and also switch to manual network and select Koodo, this would prevent the connection to a US tower when near the border.

With a Canada-US plan, there will be no fees for when the phone picks a US tower while near the border,. On top of that, you can use your phone without additional charges in US (some exceptions apply). The Unlimited International SMS perk covers indeed messages sent from Canada to international numbers (including US number),  hover calls made to international number are not covered with this perk.
