Recently I have been getting roaming charges. Last bill (05 Oct 2024) I noticed I was charged $10.00 for roaming, the bill I received today I was charged $13.20 for roaming. I have not left Canada. I live on the Shore of Lake Erie. I have never had an issue with roaming until this year. I would appreciate these charges be removed and credited.

We have looked into the charges you mentioned and as they are accidental roaming we have added a credit to your account, you can check it out in your self serve.

To avoid future charges please make sure the data roaming is turned off in your phone settings and you are manually connecting to the Koodo network.

To avoid being charged for services like SMS and calling you can go into your phone Settings > Connections > Mobile networks > Network operators, toggle off Select automatically, wait a few moments for the available networks to populate then select the Koodo network manually.

To avoid being charged for data roaming in the future, you can go into your phone Settings > Connections > Mobile networks and toggle off Data Roaming. You can always keep it off while in Canada, it will not affect your data usage. If you travel abroad and want to use data you can toggle it back on.
