I have always had the exact same monthly phone bill but I noticed that my bill this month was quite a bit higher. I looked into it and noticed an extra add on fee which I have never received before, and a roaming fee which stated that I travelled to the US. I don't live near the US boarder and have not travelled near the boarder in over a year so I am confused as to why I received this charge. This is clearly accidental and I would like to have both the add on charge and the roaming charge reversed.
Hi
We have reviewed the details and we have been able to remove the roaming charge since it was triggered due to accidental data roaming, feel free to check the details in your self serve account when you get the chance.
We recommend switching data roaming off and also switch to manual network and select Koodo in the phone settings, this would prevent the connection to a US tower when near the border.
For more info about how to prevent accidental roaming charges, please check out this article https://community.koodomobile.com/plans-services-232910/easy-roam-understanding-how-you-will-be-charged-while-traveling-7811296
Regarding the add on, we see it is on your account for a long time. If you do not need it, you can remove it in self serve under Mobile services → Manage add ons.
We have also checked your plan and we can see there was a notification regarding the increase, which was posted on the previous bill page 1, with details on the last page.
We recommend checking in self serve as you might be eligible for other offers. Most of the plans are eligible with autopay discount if pre-authorized payment through the bank is activated on your account, which would allow you to save more. The autopay discount is $10 on elilgibile plans, when you add pre-authorized bank payment. More info here https://www.koodomobile.com/en/help/auto-pay-discount
