hi there - this is a follow up to a post i made 3 days ago (i meant to respond to the comment from the koodo community team) but i can no longer access the post.

 

my original post was that i was incorrectly charged for $48 of international roaming on jun 25th, jun 28th, jul 5th. i had my cellular plan turned off and did not use any international roaming. the original comment from the koodo community team was that i was charged this amount for using international text / call. i don’t think this is the case either because:

  • i did make one call in indonesia, but i have the $0 1000min International LD Add-on, which allows me to make calls in that country at no charge 
  • i did not send any texts. 

can you please further investigate this for me? thanks!

We verified the days with the charge and found that the charges were activated by the following. 

June 25 - One Phone Call

June 28 - One Phone Call

July 5 - Sent text message.

 

Any add-ons that you have, like the 1000 international LD min provides minutes when calling from within Canada to the International destinations included in the add-on. Add-ons work only in Canada, more details here.

More details on how roaming is charged while traveling can be found here. If you want to further verify the usage, you can check that in the Self Serve and also by downloading the invoice as PDF..
