Hello Koodo

Lastest bill shows roaming charges through the USA -  while I never left Canada.

 

Phone is set/locked to Koodo only, roaming is off since I have no use (nor afford).

 

This is completely due to the fact that I am on the Canada/USA boarder.  

 

As always, I'll post this request for assistance here since normally I call.  But, as always, I'm completely hopeful that this will be easily corrected by Koodo.

 

Please advise .

We have reviewed the details and we have been able to remove the roaming charges since it was due to accidental roaming, feel free to check the details in your self serve account when you get the chance.

This is a worldwide situation where the phone can pick signal from a tower across the border when you are living or traveling close to the border.

Switching to manual network and selecting Koodo does indeed help when near the border, however, restarting the phone may switch back to the default automatic network.

Thank you for looking into this matter and correcting as necessary. 

 

This site was a very quick response and resolution.

I'll happily review the how to avoid accidental roaming charges... Again....lol... Which doesn't seem to yield me results.  The charges seem to very random considering the time I've spent in the areas when I seem to lose Koodo to a dead spot(s)...   None the less I shall review!

 

  I can't thank you enough - as always I've only had positive interactions with Koodo customer service and feel like a valued customer.
