While I was traveling, I used a UK phone card and did not make or answer any calls using my Koodo SIM. However, I received a scam call from Canada, which I did not answer, yet I was still charged for Easy Roam.

This charge is unfair, as:

  • I did not opt in to use Easy Roam intentionally.
  • I did not answer or initiate any calls, send texts, or use mobile data.
  • The call in question was spam/scam-related.
  • I was using a UK SIM for communication, not my Koodo number.

I respectfully request that you please review my usage records and refund or waive this roaming charge. If necessary, please escalate this to your billing dispute resolution team.

Hi @Yumee, we’re seeing 3 Easy Roam International charges on your latest bill. We’ve looked into them and they were triggered by incoming calls while roaming. For more details, please check the usage section in your self serve.

For more information on how to prevent unwanted roaming charges, please check out this article https://community.koodomobile.com/plans-services-232910/easy-roam-understanding-how-you-will-be-charged-while-traveling-7811296

The charges are valid, but if you would like to dispute them further you can schedule a call-back through the Koodo Assist or send us a private message on social media via Facebook, X/Twitter or Instagram.
