I was wrongly charged for roaming while in Gananoque Ontario. Please have someone contact me to remove these charges.

Hi ​@Spamgambler, we’ve checked the charges you mentioned and as they are accidental roaming we have added a credit to your account, you can check it out in your self-serve.

To avoid future charges please make sure that the data roaming is off in your phone settings and you are manually connecting to the Koodo network.

My roaming is off, and has been off for years, which is why I was so confused by the charges.


@Spamgambler  The only available setting in the phone that turns off roaming is the Data Roaming setting. This is for mobile data only, voice and text will continue to work. 

In this case, the roaming charges were activated by checking the voicemail and a sent text message while the device was briefly connected to a US network. 

You can switch to manual network selection in order to avoid future similar fees.
